⚡️Sunday’s meal prep included two different dips for the week ahead, which pretty much guarantees I’ll be snacking on fresh raw vege 🐰🥕🥒

The beauty of homemade hummus and pesto – only the best quality, organic, extra virgin olive oil is used.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have yet to find a store bought dip that doesn’t use canola or sunflower (pro-inflammatory, often GMO – heat and chemical solvents are used to extract seed oils).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This may be a surprise, but extra virgin olive oil is an incredibly valuable functional food that can help reduce markers of inflammation and protect against cardiovascular disease (thank you, phenolic compounds!). I’m not shy about using it in my daily cooking for this reason (raw or low temperatures only)😉
