July 22: Feast Day of Mary Magdalene. “Research Indicates Mary Magdalene was Black and of Ethiopian lineage.

July 29, 2006 Entertainment News
(PRLEAP.COM) Using the Old Testament of the Bible as a basis for much of her research, Johnson asserts that it is very possible that Mary Magdalene was of the lineage of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba through their son Menelik I. The late Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia laid claim to being of the lineage of Menelik I and also the same lineage of Jesus through the Davidic line. Emperor Selassie carried the title of Lion of Judah, meaning from the Kingdom of Judah and the royal and messianic family of David.

In her research, Johnson found that much of the information used by most scholars and authors came from early writings of men of the Catholic Church, which are being proven to be unreliable. The suppression of information regarding the role of Mary Magdalene as the wife of Jesus and the mother of their children with her own ministry are an example and another being the Gospel of Judas. Johnson uses footnotes throughout her book and has an extensive bibliography at the end.

Johnson chose to put her research in the form of fiction and created a spellbinding tale of intrigue, historical information about Mary Magdalene, Jesus, adventure, adversaries, romance and the spiritual message of the Magdalene. Scrolls found in a hidden cave in the French Pyrenees Mountains are the Magdalene’s journals and are sought after by adversaries of the quartet bent on getting the scrolls translated. Italian publisher Macro Edizioni of Italy is releasing the Italian Translation in Italy in early September 2006.
Moving from the cotton fields in Texas to the embassies of Paris and Tokyo, Bettye Johnson has a woven tapestry of experiences. She has experienced the Great Depression along with an environment of bigotry, prejudice and with her many moves became a free thinker. ” #marymagdalene #consciousness #sacredwoman #divinefeminine #ancienthighpriestess Artist rights reserved.
